RUSSIAN NAVY CHIEF TO ANNOUNCE WHOM THE KURSK COLLIDED WITH

Admiral Vladimir Kuroyedov, Russia’s Navy Commander-in-Chief, met yesterday evening with submariners’ wives in North Fleet’s garrison in Vidyayevo. He said to a certain degree of certainty that the Kursk submaine’s collision with an underwater object was the cause of its crash. Admiral Kuroyedov is “80% sure” it was a collision. Moreover, the collision was “with another submarine,” he elaborated. He hopes to “reveal the remaining 20%” within two months and then to announce what exactly is was all about, Interfax news agency reports.
