Pulkovo Airline to Increase Flights to Europe - 12 March, 2003

State-owned airline Pulkovo is to resume flights from St. Petersburg to Geneva on May 12. Resumed flights on this route form part of the company's summer timetable, which comes into effect on March 30. From June 3 the company will also resume flights between Moscow and Berlin, Moscow and Dusseldorf, and Moscow and Hamburg, as well as introducing new twice-weekly flights between Moscow and Munich. According to the airline's press office, summer 2003 will see more frequent flights to Hanover, Frankfurt, Paris, Tel Aviv and Istanbul.

The Pulkovo Federal State Unitary Aviation Enterprise is Russia's oldest airline. It currently owns the Pulkovo 1 and Pulkovo 2 airports and two runways. The company has 24 Tu-154 planes, 11 Tu-134 planes, and 8 Il-86 planes.
