The subject of corporate management as a “motor” of Russia's economic growth will be the key theme of the first International specialized conference, which is scheduled to take place in Moscow on June 3-4.
The conference is sponsored by the World Bank.
According to ITAR-TASS, the program will be aimed at “discussing tendencies of development of the Russian economy from the standpoint of potential investors, discussing changes within the International and Russian practice of corporate management as well as the ways of perfecting business legislation in a fight against financial abuse.”
Chief executives of federal legislation and executive powers, directors of major Russian companies and professional associations, representatives of International business circles, were all invited to take part in the forum. President of the World Bank James Woolferson and Secretary General of the organization of economic cooperation and development Donald Johnson have already made preliminary arrangements to participate in the conference.
It is expected that the national proposal on corporate management will be made public during the conference. According to the organizational committee, “leading experts in this field agree that the optimization of corporate management is in need of standardization and regulation."
