Ukraine's Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk arrived Monday in Sweden where he was to speak at a defense and security conference.
Tarasyuk was set to give an address on Ukraine's path toward democracy at the annual conference of Society and Defense, a Swedish non-governmental organization.
The conference in Salen, a ski resort some 440 kilometers (270 miles) northwest of Stockholm, expects to draw 300 participants and up to 30 speakers for four days of lectures and debates, the AP reported.
Tarasyuk was to meet his Swedish counterpart Laila Freivalds on Tuesday, Freivald's spokesman Anders Ericson said.
