Mongolian Prime Minister Nambaryn Enkhbayar has sent a telegram to Russian head of government Mikhail Kasyanov to congratulate him on the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Russia. Mr. Enkhbayar is currently making an official visit to the United States. In particular, the telegram stated that the first agreement on the establishment of friendly relations between the two countries, signed on November 5th, 1921, predetermined new conditions for the development of Mongolian-Russian relations in the long history of the two nations. The conditions were based on the principles of equality and mutual respect, the message said. "This document became the basis for the formation of close ties between the two countries and mutually-beneficial cooperation," the telegram stressed.
