National basketball: Russian team takes eighth place at European championship

The Russian national basketball team took only the eighth place at the European championship in Serbia and Montenegro.

Croatia beat Russia 92-74 in the match for the seventh place Sunday. Fyodor Likholitov and Vitaly Fridzon were named the best Russian players, RIA Novosti reports.
