What is President Putin going to accomplish by not showing up at the NATO summit?! (see PRAVDA story from May 29)
Hide under his desk at the Kremlin? Run to his country-side dacha?! Sing "Bye-bye, American pie" with disgruntled Russian Generals?! No....absolutely not...President Putin should go to the summit and show he can handle the heat in the kitchen. For in the humbling criticisms of his contempories, will be Russia's glory...showing Europe and the USA that he is a man who is is not afraid and is willing to grow with the new realities of the world today....
When it comes to the Wall Street Journal, you need to remember one thing: you will spend more money subscribing to it than you will ever get in return by investment advice on a hot stock....it won't happen...you'll get a snot nose response by the insider trading department on how to run the world...but by in large they are useless on the financial information side, so I consider them to be useless... It's a pretentious publication which is a lot of fluff and huff, but not any real substance on money-making stuff...you'll actually feel like a jerk for ever subscribing to the Wall Street Journal...they are good at opening their big mouths when it is cheap and easy to do so....it does not cost them any money, and at least they are providing something, which is something mildly worth reading, in a paper you shouldn't waste any of your precious time reading.....
President Putin is supposed to be a man on the world political scene - yes, he may not like NATO creeping up on Russia's borders....but President Putin has got to show he is not afraid of a changing world, and really everybody needs Russia's raw materials to help fuel the struggling economies of the West....so, they are going to be fundamentally friendly...
The real threat to the world today is China...this will be the country the USA may eventually have a showdown with.....China is a country which only deals with the West
if it sees by doing so, they will eventually conquere them...otherwise, they are secretly at war with the West, but right now it is profitable to co-exist......
Russia needs to see the opportunity in the crisis and how they can profit from a friendly, amicable relationship with the Western world. And the best way they can do it is by showing his friendly face at the summit, being there to monitor the winds of change, and comment on how he can facilitate a better relationship with the west and the rest of the world.....
It's a far more dynamic chess move if he goes than stays at home......and if he goes he should be anxious to participate-President Putin is a player , so now go grab the ball.....
