Trade And Economic Cooperation Between Russia And European Union Will Be Discussed In Moscow

High-ranking representatives of the European Commission (EC) - Commissioner of the European Union (EU) for external relations Chris Patten and Commissioner of the EU for trade Pascal Lamy, who arrived on Tuesday evening in Moscow on an official visit, will discuss on Wednesday trade and economic cooperation between Russia and the European Union, reported the mission of the European Commission in the Russian Federation. The EU commissioners will meet in the afternoon with Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Kasyanov. One of the main events in the context of this visit will be the first session of the high-level Working Group for a common economic space which will take place under the chairmanship of Vice Prime Minister Viktor Khristenko and Chris Patten. At this session the Working Group will discuss the issues connected with working out a concept of the formation of a common economic space.
