Vladivostok Institute Scientists Save Baby-whale

Scientists from the Vladivostok Institute of Marine Biology have saved a baby-whale which got trapped in ropes at Russky island near Vladivostok (Russia's Far East). A RIA Novosti correspondent reports that yesterday evening amateur fishermen reported a whale dying in shallow waters. On Friday at dawn Institute experts arrived by motor boat at the scene. Trapped in steel ropes, the baby-whale was barely alive. After the rescuers removed the ropes, it took time for them to get the whale out of the shallow waters. But once in deep water, the whale recovered, beat its tail on the water and disappeared in the sea.
