A delegation of the British Embassy to Russia arrived in Krasnoyarsk (the administrative centre of the Krasnoyarsk territory in the south of East Siberia) on Tuesday. The principal aim of the British diplomats' visit is to examine the social and economic situation in the region in order to prepare the visit to Krasnoyarsk of a major delegation of the British businessmen scheduled for 2002, the press centre of the Krasnoyarsk administration said. The diplomats will meet the municipal and regional authorities, Governor Alexander Lebed and deputies of the legislative assembly and will acquaint themselves with the work of several firms and companies.
