Several thousand armed Muslim militants have left Pakistan to join the Taliban. A bus and lorry caravan is advancing toward the Kunar province in the Afghan east. Armed with Kalashnikov automatics and anti-aircraft missile installations, the force is led by Sufi Mohammad, prominent on the Islamic Party and anti-American jihad, the Asian Age reports with references to informants in Pakistan. No official information has come by this morning whether the force has crossed the Pakistani-Afghan frontier.
