Taliban And Pakistan Gain As Usa Marks Time With Afghan Action: Defence Ministry Of Afghanistan

The USA is not too quick to start action in Afghanistan, while the Taliban and Pakistan are gaining with its procrastination, General Atikullah Barialai, Deputy Defence Minister on the lawful Afghan government, said to RIA Novosti. The USA has long been ready for the operation in its military aspect, and it is utterly unreasonable to put action off. Given the benefit, the Taliban have shifted troops along the entire Takhar-Kapesa-Kabul frontline, complained the general. Pakistan is also gaining with the USA being too slow, said the vice-minister as he pointed out artful Pakistani gambling round Afghanistan. Whether deliberately or not, the USA has joined the Pakistani game aimed against the lawful Afghan government regaining Taliban-controlled areas--mainly provinces where the Taliban have no public support. General Barialai called the USA not to establish military bases in Afghanistan before the operation is over, and to act in such a way as not to prejudice other countries in that part of the world--Russia, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, China and India. Still more important, innocent civilians mist have their safety guaranteed in the operation. Last but not least, Afghanistan must be certain to retain independence.
