Russia Blames Abkhazian Conflict On Georgia

Addressing the lower house of the Russian parliament, Russia's deputy Foreign Minister Valery Loshchinin blamed the situation in the self-proclaimed republic of Abkhazia and the deaths resulting from terrorist activity entirely on Georgia. On Wednesday, Georgian Ambassador Zurab Abashidze was invited to the Russian foreign ministry, said Loshchinin. "Once again, we have asked the Georgian side to take measures to eliminate the bandit units that turned up in Georgia's Pankisi and Kodori gorges," he stressed.
