Isotopic Research Center Opens in St. Petersburg - 4 April, 2003

The Isotopic Research Center in the Karpinsky All-Russian Scientific Research and Geologic Institute in St. Petersburg opened on Thursday. The main goal of the Isotopic Center is the intrusion of new highly effective criteria of grades of resource potential, objects, and territories and also ecological monitoring. The center is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment from companies in the US, Germany, Great Britain, and Australia for conducting isotopic research. One in ten completed research projects produced at the center is considered unique and the best in its class.

Isotopic research can answer questions about the source of substances, speed of aging process, and age of geologic layers. Research information can determine perspectives for studying natural and technological processes.
