King Juan Carlos of Spain received Kirchner on Wednesday and applauded Argentina's recovery since its 2002 crisis. He also told Kirchner he must "take care of" Argentina's ties with Spain.
Kirchner took office in May 2003 promising to help Argentina rebound from its economic crisis. The 2002 meltdown was the deepest on record, and while the economy began growing again the following year, worries about inflation and high unemployment remain top challenges to his government, the AP reports.
