British woman, convicted in England of running brothel, detained in Thailand

Angela Miller, 49, a British national originally from Thailand, was convicted in 2000 of running a brothel for massage and prostitution in Northampton, said police Lt. Col. Krisada Kanchana-alongkorn.

British authorities requested the arrest of Miller, previously known by the Thai name Onchitra Chitprasert, for extradition to England to face her jail sentence, said Krisada, of the Crime Suppression Division for Crimes Against Children, Youth and Women, the AP reports.

Thai police arrested Miller on Sunday. She will face a trial for extradition to England.
