Nineteen workers were on the 152-meter (500-foot) -long bridge when it collapsed Saturday in Guizhou province's Wuchuan County, the official Xinhua News Agency reported. The 170-meter (560-foot) -high bridge spanned a deep valley.
Five workers were rescued but 11 were confirmed dead, it said.
Rescuers continued to search for the three still missing and an investigation was underway, Xinhua said. No further details were immediately available, AP reported. V.A.
