An agreement on allocating an $180m credit to the Russian Health Ministry by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development has been signed today. The credit matures in 17 years, the press service of the ministry reported. The document was signed by Russian Health Minister Yury Shevchenko and IBRD Moscow office head Richard Clifford.
Some $150m will be spent on financing the project aimed at preventing and curing tuberculosis and AIDS. Some $30m will be allocated to the project "Technical Support to Health System Reforms". The first project will be implemented over the next 5 years. The second project is to last 5.5 years.
