According to the press service of Russian border guards stationed in Tajikistan, this amount is 4.6 times higher than that seized on the border during the same period of 2002.
Over the past month, Russian border guards controlling the Tajik-Afghan border discovered 7 hideouts and seized one piece of firearms, 4 missiles, a projectile, a 82-mm mine, several grenade-launcher rounds, and a radio set of foreign make. They also detained 13 border trespassers, registered 4 border incidents, and prevented 3 attempts to smuggle goods across the border.
