Official Visit Of Uzbekistan's President To Russia

Islam Karimov, President of Uzbekistan, will pay an official visit to Russia on May 3-5 of this year. The embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow reported that Islam Karimov will discuss a wide range of issues during his meetings with Russian leaders, such as the bilateral political, economic, and cultural links, cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, and the security in the Central Asian region. Possibly, the results of the assembly of foreign ministers from countries members of the "Shanghai Group of Five" will be discussed, given that Tashkent declared many times its desire to join the group.
