Settlement of the conflict in Nagorny Karabakh calls for more energetic actions, Adrian Severin, the president of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, told journalists on Sunday. He said that "the crisis in Nagorny Karabakh is a type of conflict that could not be cured by time alone." At the same time, Mr. Severin stressed that the conflict can be resolved only by way of peaceful negotiations. Mr. Severin also mentioned that a working group to assist in creating a political climate to help resolve the conflict would be formed under the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. At the talks in Armenia, Mr. Severin and the Armenian leadership focused on security issues. "In the context of fighting against international terrorism, this issue becomes more urgent. Security of Armenia and the entire South Caucasus is extremely important for all OSCE member-states," Mr. Severin said.
