The CIS Council of Foreign Ministers will gather on November 29 to discuss coordination of foreign policies and establishment of a legal base for cooperation. This information was provided by the Moscow office of the CIS Executive Council. The ministers will, in part, consider a draft analytical report on the results of the CIS' decade-long activity and its further tasks, including measures to improve coordination of foreign policies of the CIS members. Also to be discussed is the implementation of a plan of multi-level CIS foreign ministries' consultations in 2001, and a similar plan for 2002. The Foreign Ministers' Council is also due to debate a draft protocol on joint anti-terrorist activities of the CIS member states. The council will also discuss appointment of a new commander of collective peacekeeping forces in Abkhazia (Georgia). Altogether, the agenda of the CIS Foreign Ministers' Council includes 16 issues.
