At the November 30 summit in Moscow the CIS Presidents are expected to make a statement in connection with the 10th anniversary of the Commonwealth's establishment and "to give an appraisal and to determine guidelines of its development," Vladimir Fedorov, the first Deputy of the CIS Executive Secretary, told RIA Novosti Wednesday. Stressing that "many things are usually pre-determined at such meetings" he said that the Russian Federation placed for consideration a proposal to make a joint statement on the events around Afghanistan which is a hot spot for the whole world today. The official agenda of the Presidents' Council includes six issues. In addition to the analysis of the results of the CIS ten years' activity and long-term tasks, the CIS Heads of State will sign a protocol on taking joint anti-terrorist measures in the CIS territory and will discuss the results of the work of CIS observers at the elections of the Belarussian President.
