Ferry Boats To Link Tajikistan And Afghanistan In Near Future

A ferry boat communication will link Tajikistan and Afghanistan in the near future in the vicinity of the Nizhni Panj (Lower Panj) border check point guarded by the Panj border unit. According to the press service of the Russian border group in Tajikistan, this decision was made on Wednesday during the meeting between Russian and Afghan border guards and an UN representative. The press service also reported that the meeting was initiated by the Russian side. It has been planned that three ferry boats (two transport boats (for vehicles) and a cargo one) will be arriving each 12 hours.
