Long-term prospects for cooperation between Russia and the Netherlands in counteracting new threats and challenges, including international terrorism, have been discussed at bilateral consultations just over in Moscow. The Russian Foreign Ministry Information and Press Department reported that the sides had exchanged opinions on the new trends in the international developments after the September 11th tragic events in the USA and on the shaping of the new architecture of European security. Participants in the consultations indicated joint interest in the continuation of dialogue on the topical international and all-European problems, especially, taking into consideration the Netherlands' chairmanship of the OSCE, the European Union and the Council of Europe coming next years, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.
