Humanitarian Aid From Russia To Afghanistan Crosses Tajik-Afghan Border

Two columns of 64 lorries with 311 tons of humanitarian aid from the Russian Emergencies Ministry to the population of Afghanistan passed the Ishkashim check-point of Russian frontier-guards on December 12 and 13, reported the press service of the Russian frontier-guards in Tajikistan. As was pointed out by the press service, thanks to efficient efforts of the Emergencies Ministries of Russia, Tajikistan and Kirghizia and assistance of Russian frontier-guards, the humanitarian aid from international organisations, the UN World Food Programme and the government of Russia goes, without any delays, across the Tajik-Afghan border to the northern provinces of Afghanistan.
