India Welcomes Intention Of Russia And Us To Make Deep Cuts In Their Strategic Offensive Nuclear Arms

India greets an intention confirmed by Russia and the US to make heavy cuts in their strategic offensive nuclear arms, Nirupama Rao, an official spokesman for the Indian Foreign Ministry, told journalists on Saturday. According to her, these cuts will be a great contribution to the process of nuclear disarmament. India, she noted, is in constant contact with Russia and the US on anti-missile defences and a new strategic system. "We consistently uphold joint approaches to these questions and do not pursue unilateral interests," the spokesman added.
