Leaving Moscow for Minsk, President Alexander Lukashenko expressed his satisfaction with the results of a session of the Supreme State Council of the Russian-Belorussian Union state, which took place this Wednesday. My expectations have justified themselves, he said. Asked by reporters why his departure from Moscow was delayed for two hours, Lukashenko pointed to the necessity of tete-a-tete discussions by the two presidents and the two prime ministers of the issues raised at the Council session. Among them is the unification of law, especially in the customs and tax spheres. The State Council session too lasted longer than planned, that is an hour and a half, after the agenda had been extended the day before. According to the Belorussian president, the State Council devoted much time to the preparation of a Constitutional act. "I am very pleased with the visit and its results," said Lukashenko.
