A military technical agreement to determine the status of the AISEF, international security promotion forces in Afghanistan, may be signed within a few days, with talks "successful enough", an information centre officer of the Kabul-stationed British contingent said to RIA Novosti in a telephone interview. Delegates of countries who intend to have their soldiers on the AISEF remain at the negotiation table in London. A final statement is expected in 48 hours or later, reports Britain's Defence Ministry. An understanding has been made to station United Nations forces in Afghanistan, Mohammad Fahim, Afghan Defence Minister, announced today after talks with Great Britain's General John McCall, in command of the UN peacekeepers in the country.
