Court rejects YUKOS' appeal

The Moscow Arbitration Court of Appeals has rejected a &to=http://english.pravda.ru/main/18/88/351/14522_Yukos.html' target=_blank>YUKOS appeal on challenging two judges in the case of the Tax Ministry's appeal against a decision of the Moscow Arbitration Court to refuse the ministry to recover RUR1.48bn (about USD51.6m) out of RUR40.6bn (about USD1.42bn) in back taxes of the oil company for the year 2001. YUKOS' appeal reads that these judges earlier participated in considering a similar complaint of the oil company in the case in recovering 2001 tax debts and they have already expressed their position in respect to the dispute between the oil company and the Tax Ministry.
