Russia insists on release of its intelligence agents jailed in Qatar

Russia still wants the Qatari officials to release the Russian intelligence agents jailed for alleged murdering Chechen separatist Zelimkhan Yandarbiyev living there, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told journalists, confirming the position of his predecessor Igor Ivanov. Moscow has asked the Qatari officials to let the Russian citizens return to Russia, Lavrov added. Addressing the question if it is legitimate to kill terrorists in other countries, Lavrov stressed that it should be answered taking into account Israel's policy in the occupied territories and US policies in Iraq and Afghanistan.
