State Duma Deputies leave the hall as a sign of protest

The State Duma adopted the first reading of the draft of the 17th chapter of the Civil law, regulating the right of property in land. 229 deputies voted for this document (competent majority is 226), 168 voted against it, 4 abstained from voting. The deputies who voted against this bill (most of them are members of Agroindustrial group) left the room as a sign of protest against this decision, RIA Novosti announces. The leader of the Agroindustrialists Nicholay Kharitonov said, addressing the audience: “If you betray the interests of farmers, we leave the hall.”
