A command and staff exercise of the federal Interior Ministry was underway in Karachai-Circassia, a North Caucasian autonomous republic, throughout last week, to finish today. It was the principal goal to streamline teamwork of the republican Interior Ministry with the Cherkessk borderguard unit, the regional board of the Federal Security Service, federal Interior troops and army units, and law-enforcement agencies of the neighbouring North Caucasian areas. The goal was reached, reports the exercise operation HQ. The personnel drilled prevention of tentative paramilitary attempts to trespass the Russian-Georgian frontier in forbidding mountain gorges. No such attempts have been spotted along that frontier stretch for now.
