Statistics Committee Reports Rise In Oil Production In Russia In October

Russian oil companies produced 30.4 million tons of oil in October 2001. This is 3.7 per cent more as compared to the previous month, the State Statistics Committee reported. Meanwhile, the volume of oil refining was 14.9 million tons, which is 0.2 per cent less than in September 2001. The production of gasoline amounted to 2.2 million tons, or 1.1 per cent more than last month. The total volume of gasoline production reached 22.8 million tons in the first ten months of 2001.
