Export revenues of the Russian gas giant Gazprom amounted to a record high level of $14.5bn in 2001, and the volume of gas exports reached 125 billion cubic meters, Gazprom's press service reported to RBC. The company's long-term export contracts provide for sales of more than 2.4 trillion cubic meters of gas for a total of $250bn. Gazprom's net profits reached 100bn rubles ($3.32bn) by the end of this year. According to information from the press service, the volume of explored natural gas in Russia amounted to 46.9 trillion cubic meters.
