Fire At Space Forces Command Center Did Not Affect Orbital Group Combativity

Fire which happened at a space means command post of the Russian Defence Ministry has not affected combat readiness of the orbital grouping, but for temporary loss of communication with four spacecraft. This was said to journalists on Friday by Colonel-General Anatoli Perminov, commander of the Space Forces. To him, loss of communication does not downgrade the combat readiness of these spacecraft, because they "can for a long time perform combat missions independently". The press service of the Russian Space Forces reports that at the present moment a commission of experts from the Defence Ministry and the military-industrial complex led by Major-General Anatoli Shishkin continues assessing the condition of the command post and the damage it has sustained in the fire.
