Russian border guards clash with Afghan trespassers

Russian borderguards from the Moscow Border Guard unit, which is patrolling the Tajik-Afghan border section, clashed on Tuesday morning with a group of trespassers. The press service of the Russian Federal Frontier Service in Tajikistan reports there were no losses among the Russian servicemen. The border guards were fired at when attempting to detain three transgressors of the state border, but the border guards opened a return fire and dispersed the trespassers who abandoned their cargo and fled to Afghanistan. The border guards searched the place and found 25 parcels with heroin weighing over 25 kg, one grenade and a foreign-made radio station. The search continues.
