The casualties among servicemen in Chechnya have decreased three-fold as compared to the year of 2000, Colonel-General Vyacheslav Tikhomirov, the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Interior troops, told the families of those who died on combat duty. According to Tikhomirov, 24 streets in Russian towns have been given the names of servicemen killed in Chechnya.
