First Secretary of the Afghan Embassy to Moscow has categorically denied the information about mass slaughters of Taliban in the cities seized by the Northern Alliance. The Afghani diplomat told Wednesday RIA Novosti that this information "contradicts reality". According to him, the United Front troops treat the Taliban prisoners-of-war in compliance with international norms and obligations, no matter Afghanis or foreign mercenaries they are. The diplomat stressed that no pre-meditated murder or vengeance was dealt with. The Afghanis know well the consequences of random murders. "Blood shed today is a load of unforgiven offences tomorrow," he said. "Obviously, these are trumped-up stories by some media, which are not interested in establishing peace in Afghanistan." "By this information they want to form a negative image of the anti-Taliban and anti-terrorist coalition."
