Regular supplies of Russian humanitarian aid by road from Tajikistan to northern Afghanistan will begin in the near future, a spokesman for Russia's Ministry for Emergency Situations said on Friday. Russia's and Tajikistan's emergency ministries have offered about 100 trucks for the purpose. They include 30 Russian Kamaz trucks which were delivered to Tajikistan on Thursday. Humanitarian aid will be supplied via the Nizhni Pyandzh crossing from Tajikistan's Kurgan-Tyube where the bulk of the aid has already been concentrated.
