Israel wants the leader of the Palestinian National Administration to arrest the murderers of Israeli Minister of Tourism Ze'evi Rehavam, the country's Foreign Minister Shimon Peres told a Kiev-based press conference, which took place in the framework of his two-day official visit to Ukraine. "We want the murderers of our minister arrested and we believe they are still on the territory controlled by the Palestinian leader," Peres announced. According to his words, Israel "has no intention of crushing the Palestinian National Authority and its leader Yasser Arafat." The decision to blockade Arafat in the town of Ramallah was made at a session of the Israeli government. Nevertheless, Israel does not intend to place Arafat under house arrest, he said. The murder was committed on October 17 in Jerusalem.
