Russian Border Guards Kill Three Drug Traders

During an armed clash with drug traffickers on the Tajik-Afghan border yesterday, the Russian border guards of the Moskovsky border-guard detachment killed three border-crossers and seized 22 kilogrammes of heroin, the press service of the Russian border guards in Tajikistan reported on Saturday. The border guards detected an incursion of five armed smugglers from Afghanistan into Tajikistan. During an attempt to detain the border-crossers fire was opened on the border-guard detachment. As a result of a 30-minute combat the group of smugglers was dispersed. Two sacks with 22 packages of heroin weighing more than 22 kilogrammes were found during the inspection of the locality.
