Palestinian Leader And Russian Foreign Ministry Envoy Discuss Mideastern Problems

Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat and Russian Foreign Ministry envoy Andrei Vdovin have met to discuss the obtaining situation in the Palestinian territories. The Palestinian news agency WAFA reports that the meeting took place in Arafat's Ramallah retreat Wednesday. According to the agency, the two officials discussed, among other things, the international efforts aimed at bringing an end to the military escalation and the bloodshed in the region.
