Uzbek Parliament to Hold 11th Session

The 11th session of the Uzbek Parliament is going to be held on 24-25 April and the President of Romania & Germany are supposed to visit Uzbekistan very soon with an official visit
The 11th session of the Uzbek Parliament is going to be held on 24-25 April and the President of Romania & Germany are supposed to visit Uzbekistan very soon with an official visit. Romania President will visit from 21-23 while the German President's visit will be from 27-28 April. The eleventh session of the Uzbek parliament (Oliy Majlis) will start on the 24th of April in the capital city Tashkent.

As reported by reliable sources, the president Mr. Islam Karimov will not only inaugurate the 11th session of the Uzbek parliament, he will attend the national-international media conference also. This important parliament session is to be attended by more than 200 politicians and foreign diplomats working in Uzbekistan. Sources have reported that the parliament will consider more than twelve points including introducing amendments and supplements to some legislative acts, confirmation of decrees of the president and also the human right issues.

It should be mentioned here that some days before the US Ambassador Mr. John Herbst releases the US state Department's Uzbekistan Country Report on Human Right Practices. The report covers internationally recognized individual, civil, political and workers right. Presenting the 23pages Country Report the Ambassador Herbst told the press that Uzbekistan has a long way to go and those we have presented have played a role because the US government has worked long and hard for the changes in Uzbekistan.
