The command of Russia's Space Forces does not plan to give up early missile warning systems located in Belarus, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, a spokesman for the Space Forces said on Friday. He said recent reports about Russia's decision to stop operating these systems in the three former Soviet republics do not correspond to reality. "This issue has not been raised at all," the spokesman emphasized. He added that the matter at issue is "the possibility of building new early missile warning systems to supplement the already existing ones."
