President Of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmonov Meets American General Tommy Franks

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmonov and commander-in-chief, the US Central Command, General Tommy Franks discussed the military-political situation in the Islamic state of Afghanistan. Speaking about the struggle against terrorism the sides stressed the need to use such methods and means of struggle that would exclude the suffering of the peaceful population of Afghanistan, said press secretary of the Tajik president Zafar Saidov. It was stressed during the meeting that international terrorism threatens not only the USA but also the entire world community. The point at issue was cooperation and coordination of actions in combating the threat of international terrorism and extremism in the context of regional security, Saidov pointed out.
