Prince Charles, HRH The Prince of Wales, arrives in Vilnius on Tuesday. The visit by Prince Charles to Lithuania will last till November 8 as part of his tour of the Baltic states, Brian Davidson, the Deputy Head of the British Mission in Lithuania, told journalists. The visit is timed to the 10th anniversary of the restoration of the diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Great Britain. Prince Charles will meet Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus, Parliamentary Speaker Arturas Paulauskas and Prime Minister Algirdas Brazauskas. Prince Charles is to participate in a broad cultural programme. He will visit the Lithuanian Musical Academy, the University of Vilnius and will go sightseeing. Prince Charles will open a seminar on the ecological agriculture in the Seimas. This is the first visit by Prince Charles to Lithuania. His brother Prince Andrew came on an official visit to Lithuania in 1998. Prince Charles will head for Riga on Thursday morning.
