Russian Foreign Minister To Participate In The Russia-NATO Permanent Joint Council's Meeting In Brussels

Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said on Saturday in New York that he will participate in a December 8 meeting of the Russia-NATO Permanent Joint Council in Brussels. Besides, Ivanov plans to take part in the foreign ministers' meeting of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, which will take place in early December in Bucharest. The minister also did not rule out his visits to "certain African countries." According to Russian Foreign Ministry official representative Alexander Yakovenko, the foreign minister of South Africa, at his meeting with Ivanov today, invited the Russian minister to visit his country. Ivanov accepted the invitation. The date of the visit will be agreed via diplomatic channels, the official representative said.
