Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador At Large Discusses Iraqi Problem With Countries Of The Region

Russian foreign ministry ambassador at large Nikolai Kartuzov who visited Iraq and Jordan last week, handed over the message from Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov, on Sunday, to Secretary General of the League of Arab States Amr Moussa. Kartuzov and Moussa discussed at their meeting in the League of Arab States headquarters questions pertaining to the situation which obtained around Iraq after the UN Security Council adopted a new resolution on Thursday. The resolution stipulates that the Oil for Food programme will be prolonged till June 1, 2002. The Russian representative also plans to hold meetings with the Egyptian side to discuss the Iraqi problem.
