MOSCOW, December 18, RIA Novosti correspondent Oleg Osipov - Russia has given to Armenia a draft agreement on settling the debts in exchange for investments. As Vice Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Ilya Klebanov told reporters after the negotiations between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Robert Kocharyan in the Kremlin, on Monday the Russian side gave to Armenia a draft agreement "which must settle the formula - the debts in exchange for investments." According to Ilya Klebanov, the Presidents of Russia and Armenia have set the task "to bring this draft agreement to signing as soon as possible." The Vice Prime Minister said that the sides also discussed the realisation of the agreements between the two Presidents concerning the issue of the debts in exchange for investments. According to the Vice Prime Minister, this work is going on well. Ilya Klebanov said that the working group visited Armenia where it evaluated the property, including generating capacities and distributing power grids. The RAO Unified Energy Systems of Russia and the Ministry of State Property of the Russian Federation rendered aid to the working group in this respect. Apart from that, the President of Russia and Armenia discussed cooperation in the gas and power industries.
